Superunison is a full-service architecture firm licensed to practice in Alabama, North Carolina, and Tennessee. The practice engages in custom residential, commercial, interiors, furniture design, and speculative theoretical work. In addition, we offer professional architectural photography services.
Shane Elliott and Matt Hall have been collaborating for over twenty years. Whether co-teaching an architecture studio, forging rude soundscapes with aluminum guitars, or entering architectural competitions as a form of protest, they have always been in unison when it comes to values such as free and open dialog, the checking of the architectural ego, and a premise that design is the result of the constraints and forces of the world, not from the 'spark' of the design genius.
With one arm in practice and the other in academia, the firm embraces the complex intersection between client desires, appropriate construction methods, and constantly vying contextual forces in search of a unification of the myriad of factors that can responsibly, practically, and efficiently shape each unique architectural project.
We operate in close collaboration with Compass Construction to execute design-build projects in the Auburn, Alabama area, and our North Carolina office engages work crossing over into East Tennessee, collaborating with multiple contractors and developers.
